Minova is a leading provider of ground consolidation, improvement of mine ventilation and water control products in Spain.
The company began operating in the country in 1995 as a supplier to the coal mining industry.
In recent years, Minova products have been widely adopted in the civil engineering and tunnelling industries, which now account for the majority of the company’s activity in Spain.
Customers have access to an unmatched range of resins, foams, adhesives, steel bolts and other rock support systems.
Minova’s operations are based at Langreo, near Oviedo in Northern Spain, and include a resin, accessories and equipment warehouse.
Minova in Spain also services customers in Portugal and has been active in the past two years in supporting the growth of Minova’s activities in South America.
The company’s chief executive in Spain is Diego Velez, a mining engineer.

Velez says if a problem arises during tunnelling, the team can respond rapidly and get the project running again quickly.
“Increasingly, we are being called upon to prepare ground before tunnelling even begins. This lowers the risk of loose, cavernous or faulted rocks creating unexpected and costly delays.”
