Minova North America recently announced the long-awaited launch of a patented new product, the Tensionable Cable Bolt System, or TCB System.

This cable bolt system is the result of many years of research and development by Steve Tadolini, Director of Global Technology, Steel, and his team at the Innovation & Technology Center located in Bowerston, Ohio.

A unique feature of the TCB System is the keyway in the cylinder and the corresponding keyed plate that allows the development of tension without the cable wrap experienced with other designs. This system offers an advanced support system with all the installation versatility of traditional cable bolts while providing the ability to fully tension the cable during the normal roof bolting cycle.

Additionally, the powder coated finish on both the nut and cylinder helps identify the length of the bolt more clearly after installation and serves to protect the steel from adverse underground conditions.

The Tensionable Cable Bolt System is one of many cutting-edge products that will allow Minova to sustain a leadership position in the mining industry by developing innovative solutions for our customers.
