Minova International chief executive officer, Michael Reich, says new technology has allowed miners to significantly improve productivity and the economic extraction of coal seams that were once considered unmineable.

Minova has played a major part in these industry trends, as evidenced by the number of patents it currently holds around the world for the chemical formulation, manufacture and application of its products. Minova is the global market leader in ground stabilisation systems to the underground mining and infrastructure markets.
Reich says the future holds the promise of innovation and new developments that will further support the drive for efficiency and safety in underground mining.

Reich says Minova plans to use its newly acquired global scale and reach to take a leading role in research and development.

“We are also supporting research and development in fiberglass technology through an investment in GRP Technology, based in Shanghai.
